Two badly decomposed bodies were found shortly after 3 p.m. by a farmermowing hay near a cemetery at Ohio 560 and Nettle Creek Road. The cemetery is about seven miles northwest of the home at 1311 Knight Roadwhere the children were last seen. Champaign County Sheriff David Deskins would not confirm that the skeletalremains were those of India and Cody Smith, but said "it's a good possibility"because they match the approximate size of the children. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office is expected to perform anexamination of the remains at 8 a.m. today with the help of an anthropologistskilled at bone analysis. Cody, 5, and his sister, India, were reported missing July 9 by theirstepfather, Kevin Neal, who said he last saw them playing around 1:15 p.m. inthe sideyard. Today would have been India's birthday. * More details, 1B.LENGTH: 33 linesILLUSTRATION: COLOR PHOTOS: (2): (#1) Cody Smith (#2) India SmithCATEG: CRIME AND JUSTICE SUBJ: CHILDREN MISSING DISCOVERY BODIES NA: INDIA SMITH CODY SMITH GEOG: CHAMPAIGN COUNTY AT: SKELETAL REMAINS ENHANCER: ref1================================================================================ 4 of 1817, 1 Terms Transfer complete.
